This class is on hiatus this year while Susan works on writing her two Sunflower books! But if your child liked Theatre Workshop, they might love one of our new classes: DREAMS for Kids or Explore A Story.
Our Theatre Workshop classes validate children by giving them the freedom to create their own plays. The characters, action, dialogue, music, costumes, sets and props are all developed by the children.
Through improvisation and drama exercises, children experiment with a range of emotions. They are encouraged to "try on" different characters. This helps them understand and empathize with others while discovering more about themselves and their own emotions. Theatre Workshop groups perform in the fall and in the spring.
